The notification on the camera means that a file may have been corrupted during prior filming or access of the SD card. While the icon is showing on the screen, press ANY BUTTON on the camera, and the camera will repair the file. While the camera is attempting to recover the file, the icon will blink repeatedly.

To format your memory card: Insert your GoPro SD Card on your PC. Then, open Windows Explorer. You should see your SD card under Devices and drives.
