Now he takes my D4D ute away every 10,000km to do the service for me (so i don't have to take it into town) and he also has a Prado D4D of his own. You know what he said to me? NO, an additional oil change every 5,000km would only be necessary if you were doing a majority of offroad work or if the engine was always laboring under heavy load, i Sticking when hot is often cited as a cause of hot starting problems. D4D pumps may have one or two of these valves depending on the type of pump fitted, this is important when ordering the correct parts. Hi, I wanted to ask was whether anyone had experience with the Toyota engine oil to the D4-D. Acc. A1 and the instructions recommend 5W/30. Is oil 0W/30 also would suit? Maybe 0W/30 Amsoil SSO due to a thicker oil film would also be good? I suggest that for the whole year-and Amsoil DEO 5W/40 either Motul X-Cess 5W/40.
Meaning, marine engines in boats use a heat exchanger. These systems, at least fresh water cooled models, circulate coolant in the engine, and use a coolant to sea/lake/river water exchanger. Raw water cooled systems pump sea/lake/river water through the engine - no sealed coolant in the engine and no heat exchanger - Hard on engines in salt water.
